My motivation for establishing CTAL
My motivation for establishing Coreskills Transformational Academy Limited started with the quest to solve the problem of quality education in Africa, As of October 2022, about 20 million children are out of school in Nigeria, according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This figure is a far-reaching increase from the 10.5 million recorded by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in 2020.
My second motivation is with teacher quality. No nation can rise above the quality of its teachers. I have worked and collaborated with various organizations in providing various training, coaching, and mentoring programs as well as inaugurating different welfare schemes for new and veteran educators.
Thirdly, the competence and character of school leaders have been a concern for me, as well as the profitability of the school business for private owners is one area that I have also had to provide solutions. I created services such as Leadership Development programs, Advisory Services, School Business Review, Audit, and Structuring to provide support for schools facing such challenges.
Furthermore, the realization that a substantial number of employees across diverse sectors lacked the resources and guidance required for effective skill enhancement served as a catalyst. The vision for Coreskills emerged from a commitment to bridge this gap, providing individuals with the tools not only to stay relevant but to excel in their professional endeavors.
Moreover, the belief in the profound impact of mentorship and coaching on personal and professional growth played a pivotal role. Recognizing that learning is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, the academy was conceived as a space where individuals could access personalized guidance and support, fostering not just skill development but a holistic transformation of mindset and capabilities.
The commitment to consulting as an integral part of Coreskills stems from the understanding that true upskilling goes beyond individual knowledge. It involves the strategic application of acquired skills within the organizational context, aligning with broader business objectives. Through consulting services, the academy aims to empower organizations to unlock the full potential of their workforce.
